Lloyds App Log On Glitch - Anyone Else ?
MrsM has just signed up to Lloyds on line banking and has downloaded the app to her phone and tablet. On both devices every time she tries to log on she gets a red bar at the top with a message along the lines of "we are having technical problems, please try again". Closing the app and trying again does not fix this. But ……. pressing the back button twice and re-opening the app allows her to log in. Done all the usual clear cache / clear data / delete app to no avail. Both the BOS and Hfx apps work fine on both devices. Web access for all 3 works fine. Don't really want to go through their help as others with problems have had a complete loss of on line access due to them trying to fix it.

I can log on to the Lloyds app fine here (Android)

When it does that, quite often swipe it off (from apps on square button) then restart helps

That one never works but the back button does every time.

Just had this on my Hfx app and is the problem my son is having with Hfx. It seems it is being discussed on other sites and their techs have not got a clue.
You need to have auto log out set to a timeout rather than on leaving app - which also logs you out on minimising - to use the above workaround.

I've been trying to login to the Halifax app and also on line, both fail.
I got fed up with Lloyds previously and moved to the Halifax, looks like I may move again.
I just want good customer service and push notifications when there has been a transaction with a high street branch. The Co-op seems to be the best.
Any advice please

I don't think Coop have push notifications, there app is very rudimentary.
Why do you want a branch? Most banks including Starling let you pay in cash in post offices which is the only thing most people would ever use a branch for.

Lloyds and Halifax are part of the same group and have been for years
Co-Op is very basic and doesn't do much like alerts
Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

This is a very specific bug, not a general "can't log in at all" scenario.

I had problems trying to log in this morning to both Lloyds & Halifax (both being part of the same group). I'm now able to log in to both.

That was a general outage across the LBG system
