Car Lease - Alphabet
Hi, looking for some advice.
My car lease with Alphabet recently ended and k returned the car. Someone came to collect it and to check for chargeable damage. I’ve not had an invoice from Alphabet to confirm the damage - there was a scratch so happy to pay for it. However they are claiming there is a missing service book and want to charge me £500. When I received the car, there was never a log book included. I’ve emailed back explaining that and I had confirmed that with the man from BCA that that was the case but he’s clearly logged it anyway and that I’ve never had the service book.
Any advice? Should I just await their reply?
Thanks
Chris

Some cars no longer have paper service books, their service records are online.
What make, model and age of your car?

it was a 2024 Ford Focus
Pretty sure it didn’t come with one

According to the Ford website, since 2022 their cars have a digital service record and no physical book.

I have not had a service book with my last 4 cars and I doubt any manufactures supply them any more.If you had the car serviced with a main dealer the service record should be held on line.
