Creative Car Parking - not parked but got ticket
Hi Lovely Forumites
Advice needed for a local community car scheme.
Volunteer Driver drives in and collects person for an appointment & delivers them back a couple of hours later, at no point were they parked.
A week or so later they receive a parking fee by post. They write and explain they just collected and then dropped off again later, appeal denied as Creative say they were parked for a couple of hours & they have now received further correspondence demanding payment of £100.
Any suggestions where we go from here?

Its a case of double dipping, they missed the orphan images, the first exit and the second entry
Appeal to popla on that basis, 2 short visits, the alleged breach never happened

Sounds like a "double dip" - 2 separate short visits recorded as one long one. No point in arguing with the scammers, so sit back and wait for a Letter of Claim. If you have evidence of being elsewhere during the time they claim you were parked, that's useful but not essential.

Firstly nobody pays as it is a case of double dipping that should have been picked up by the Parking Company.

d) images generated by ANPR or CCTV have been subject to a manual quality control check, including the accuracy of the timestamp and the risk of keying errors.
NOTE 1: The manual quality control check for remote ANPR and CCTV systems is particularly important for detecting issues such as “double dipping”, where image camera systems might have failed to accurately record each instance when a vehicle enters and leaves controlled land, and for checking images that might have been taken other than by a trained parking attendant (see Clause 15)"

But your friend does. We need to see it with times and dates shown but data redacted. It will not identify them if data, the VRM and PCN refs are covered.
