Breathing space and dispute

be gentle I’m not great and get overwhelmed by this stuff.

I’ve just received a letter saying I can’t appeal ( euro/ dcbl) Two tickets dated 2024.

First communicating since I paid all out standing tickets last year.

I believed I’d paid all tickets (and they would have added these on to what I had outstanding )

In 2025 I paid all fines before it reached ccj and asked them was that all tne fines over tne phone , as I paid . They said yes. I requested a text confirming payment .
yesterday I got a letter saying I can’t appeal .(?)

i believe this is an error. I found the text and spoke to dcbl number of times the last time I said I have one text proving payment of some tickets and a reference . She would not direct me to how i can get a copy of which pcns were on that payment. She said id have to prove to them I paid. I cannot prove it without tne documentation to check if i paid. They told me it was sent to a different debt collector first then transferred to them.
I told them I have breathing space- she told me I didn’t , repeatedly. I have an appointment with cab on Friday and tne breathing space reference. I’m not sending them tne breathing space letter unless cab tell me too.

How do I get tne documents back from 2024 . Last letter they say they sent me was sep 2025. And the phone call where. I asked if it was all paid up .

my situation is, I have memory problems and mental health problems which makes dealing with this very difficult. I would park somewhere which had free parking for a certain length of time and intend to pay tne ticket but. I’d forget. They built up that way. It got to tne point where they were taking me to tne county court and at that point I just paid.

I don’t think I have any defence. What I’ve said is tne truth but it’s my fault for forgetting.
They won’t tell me which ticket numbers originally paid and I disposed of tne paperwork after I asked them if it was all paid up.
so there’s been a time gap of maybe edit 2.5 years from when tney say they sent tne latest recovery and they refuse to tell me what’s numbers I paid. I’m thinking of getting an SAR

I’ve never been in ‘ debt’ in my life,

Breathing space means I have time to get any information I need and stop worrying .

Because I can’t cope with the stress.

    Just await a claim form.

See post 2 of the NEWBIES FAQS thread.

You should NEVER have paid any PCNs but you really must pay fees to park. You can't just say "oh I forgot". Find a way to remind yourself to always pay the fee on site whilst there in a car park.

    🙂

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
