Really quick hopefully last question, the letter is dated 30/7 (received yesterday) and so I'm on the 7th day today, by the time they get the letter I'll be out of time to contact them, is it best to email them... although email addresses are seemingly hard to find or just do the letter and hope it gets there?

You aren't out of time for anything, any date they mention is just something they've made up to try and pressure you into contacting them.
Just send the letter and forget it about until you hear anything else.

Thank you, I really do need to stop stressing so much.

They make up these silly deadlines for you to respond by, but they are utterly meaningless, and as Rob says, designed to get you to react in haste, something you should never do when dealing with debt, unless the deadline is set by a court, it means nothing.
I know fatbelly touched on this, but just to be clear, Capital One have sold the debt to Capquest, so they are now the new owner, they have engaged Resolvecall to act on their behalf, and contact you.
This happens a lot, but its an important point, as usually only the debts owner can take recovery action through the courts, so these collectors who have been assigned to act for the creditor, have no power of enforcement whatsoever, so consequently can be ignored.

Intrum, another lot of bottom feeders. You know what to do if they do contact you.
If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.1 -
Intrum own Capquest, just keep an eye on the post for a while and see what happens.
