Am I safe?

Hi, hope someone can help. I emailed a copy of an invoice to a wrong address in error. The email was received as it appeared as sent in my sent folder. The invoice showed my name and address, email address, telephone number and my online auction paddle number.
Do you think I’ve compromised myself and what should I do please?

Thanks

John

Rather depends on who you have emailed the invoice to.

Most of that information would be available with a bit of digging.

Paddle number? For what? Is it of any use ie could it be used to make fraudulent bids wherever it's used?

thanks for your reply flaneurs_lobster, I emailed it to atrshipping@gmail.com I’ve no idea who or what they are. To use the paddle number they would have to know my password for the online bidding account.

Wouldn't do any harm to just send a polite request for them to delete the information.

A Google says ATR is a document used in moving goods between Turkey and the EU. Not sure that's relevant.

I did that as soon as I realised my mistake apologising profusely haven’t heard back from them but again they could be anywhere and asleep! I tried a couple of reverse lookup websites to see who owned the email address a couple came back saying nothing found and a few wanted payment to disclose the information.

Over the years I've had many incorrectly addressed emails some with a lot of personal information on them. I have replied to the ones I can informing them of the error but some I simply delete and move on.

Never had the urge to do anything untoward.

Could be their system has highlighted it as external mail from an unknown source. In which case they would probably not even open the attached invoice, in case it was dodgy.
