Forecourt Eye - 'evidence'
Today we have received a demand for payment from Forecourt Eye ' the amount of fuel obtained was £20.00 and the vehicle was driven away'. The driver did go in and pay for fuel he put in the vehicle, we have the physical customer receipt from the garage for £49.99.
Images on the Forecourt Eye website are of our vehicle on a Thursday in 2026 @ 12:36hrs, not a full time stamp date, next to a fuel pump, you can not see a pump number. Another image of our employee at the cash desk, again no date or time. A customer receipt for -£49.99 dated 18/06/2026 14:47hrs stating 'Return WRIG X C/BRZE10', then another receipt, looks like a credit card chit, for £69.99 18/06/2026 14:46 for Pump5, that states 'drive off Nozzle back date/time 18/06/2026 12:39' and nothing in the signature block.
I have a Customer Receipt from Shell for £49.99 18/06/2026 12:39hrs for Pump9, time ties in with the first image they have given of the vehicle, being successfully paid on our Mastercard.
I have emailed a SAR request from DVLA.
Just interested to know what I should do from here please.

Does your receipt also include the volume of fuel, and the price per litre?

People often have success by going and talking to the staff at the fuel station.

At no point name the driver!
You could try sending FE a copy of your receipt proving payment, and ask them to refer it back to their client.
Or you could refer them to the response given in Arkell v Pressdram and wait to see if they really do try to take this to County Court. If you do this, keep the receipt (and any related bank statements etc) safe.
