RAC Breakdown Family Policy Savings Tip

Afternoon all,

Just thought I should share a tip for anyone with an RAC Breakdown family policy (while AA aren't offering cashback).
Our policy auto-renewed at £480 and we'd foolishly missed the cooling off period by the time I spotted it on my statement. We've incurred a time-on-risk and admin fee of around £90 but, just by changing the name of the first driver and policyholder, we've got a new customer policy for £270 and then get £140 cashback too.
Had we been better organised, we'd have cut the renewal to around £130 instead of £480, but even at £220 it's still a bit of worthwhile admin
