Whilst not unexpected, i actually think the integration is a good thing, so being able to service both companies in one branch is a positive and they are very close to each other. Although i am surprised with the Nottingham one as it seems a very small branch

What's happening in Nottingham that surprises you? The notice only mentions Birmingham, Leicester, and Wolverhampton.

The existing Coventry BS branch in Nottingham is closing and moving in with the Co-op bank.

Other things equal a smaller branch = cheaper to run. I'd guess they can see a continuing drop off in footfall and they know it won't matter much that its smaller.

This is true. Be good if there is more cross offering of products in the future
