Octopus Tracker vs Agile
I've been on the Octopus electricity Tracker tariff for a while now and I've saved many hundreds of pounds with it.
It's not doing so well now and I've been looking around and noticed on the Octoprice website that Agile is consistently cheaper by a couple of hundred a year.
I'm just wondering how accurate Octoprice is, does it track my hourly usage over whatever period I select, or is it just estimating.
Thing is, I have an unusual usage profile - quite high but pretty constant (Fish tanks and a pond with pumps/heaters/lighting running 24/7) I wouldn't be looking for the "cheap half-an-hour coming up" to save money on.
Does it seem like a reasonable idea to switch to it?

Agile prices are generally good during the day, at the moment, owing to the large amount of solar on the grid. Pretty pricy in the evenings and overnight as there's not much wind On the other hand we've recently had a run of negative price days, recently.
It depends how flexible you can be with your usage. Most of the time Agile can offer good savings if you can avoid usage during the 16: to 19:00 peak period. Unfortunately the Orange Idiot's unnecessary war is not helping. You need to take a long term view and grit your teeth when things get sticky.

If you've given Octoprice your Octopus API key, then yes it's as accurate as Octopus's smart meter data is.

It sounds like it's worth you giving it a go!
