Holiday insurance

I'm with Staysure holiday insurance. They have been really good so far. I was lucky enough to reduce my likelihood of illness. However, they've given me a £75 voucher on next renewal instead of a refund. I think I am entitled to the money back. Anybody else had this and got cash back?

I know that they can increase the premium mid-term following a change of health, but I've never heard of the premium being decreased as in your case.

The fact that they have offered you a voucher makes me think that they have acknowledged that you should be paying less. I would ask them again for a refund. The voucher is fine if you intend to renew with them, as long as the premium is competitive.

How long has the current policy been in place?

It might be helpful to have more understanding of why, what, how you managed to reduce your likelihood of illness to such an extent that a £75 reduction in premium is appropriate, even after any admin fees have been applied.

Holiday insurance is often very low value product so reductions are challenging to secure.

Do you mean you had a medical condition which has now been fully and definitively treated so the potential for any outcome arising affecting travel is eliminated?
