Yoga car insurance - Dont renew

Just sorting my wifes renewal and Yoga price was £237, up from £209 last year. next best was £213 with MSM.

I had zero intention of renewing with them unless they were the cheapest by a reasonable amount as we had the misfortune to have to make a no fault claim, (still waiting on admrial, third third party insurer to cough up after 2 months) Yoga use One Call Claims to deal with their claims, absolute nightmare, cant talk to anyone, take ages to reply to emails and have ambulance chasing solicitors trying to tell you that you were injured and all that nonsense.

Anyway, went in and clicked Do Not Renew, left the reason and clicked continue. It then comes up and says, would you like get a discount, click view discount and it came up with new price of £193. Moral is scroll right to the bottom and click do not renew, never take their first price.

Now I have the dilemma of sticking to my principles or saving twenty quid !!

I'd be wary of changing when there is an open claim. My advice is just run it another year.

Seems simple enough, if your sole criteria for selecting a car insurance product is that it's the cheapest quote then go with that.

If you might value having customer services available on a telephone (or other value-adding criteria) then look elsewhere.

The only claims in recent times I have made were a car claim for a rear end minor damage when a motorist ran into the back of our car, the other was a claim on travel insurance for a hospital stay overseas. Both instances we were insured with LV, no 3rd party claims handlers and very good to deal with. The car was repaired locally by a garage appointed by LV and repaired within a matter of days. The expenses for the hospital stay were paid in a few days from submitting the receipts, which was simply a matter of scanning and emailing them.

I guess you pay your money and take your chances with "cheap" insurance.

Cheap is cheap for a reason.
