Litani - Warning : Unscrupulous Offer for Aviva Shares
My wife owns some Aviva shares. Out of the blue she received an offer to buy these shares at a price of £5.30 from a firm called Litani LLC, based in the USA.
There's a big problem with the offer, namely that the shares are actually worth around £7 each at the moment. So, nobody ought to accept the offer.
It's not exactly a scam, as I'm sure the offer to buy the shares is genuine. Nevertheless, I have no qualms about describing the offer as unscrupulous.

Aviva itself says to ignore it:
These sorts of mini tender offers aren't completely unheard of in the US but they don't usually come after London listings.
