Chorley BS changing my account number

I'd normal post in the Top Regular Saver thread but it's more of a chat thread these days and useful info just gets lost.

I have a Regular Saver and received a snail mail letter informing me that my account number was changing wef 3 August. I think this is due to my account number ending in "X" but I'm guessing tbh.

Anyway, not a great deal of notice and I'm not sure what would happen if I sent a payment tomorrow using the old account number remembering that they only credit on working days (i.e. 3 August).

Chorley BS are undergoing an upgrade to their systems this weekend, and maybe beyond if things go pear shaped. Your issue may be part of that, check their website for further info.

Maybe just leave the pay-in until Monday?

I received an email today from them saying:

You will need to register for our new Chorley Online service when it launches, even if you currently use our existing Online Service. You will find your new Customer ID at the bottom of this email. This will replace your existing User ID and you will need it to re-register. We will send you a further email on the morning of Monday 3rd August 2026 confirming how you can complete your registration, including helpful user guides to support you through the process.
