We have enjoyed The Crow Girl on Channel 5 but in order to watch the next series we have to subscribe to Paramount TV!

We are on Virgin basic TV package what is the best way to watch Paramount? Does the a Virgin TV upgrade include it? I asked Virgin chat but could not get a sensible answer!

If its not included it costs about £6 per month to sign up. Theres usually a free trial so you could get it for nothing if you can binge the new series in a week.

it’s not included with any packages but can be added as a standalone app if you have an appropriate VM box ( 360 box ? ) but your TV may be able to download the Paramount Plus app , or something like a Fire TV stick will have the app available, IMHO doing it through Virgin simply adds complexity if you ever dump Virgin if you intend to keep P+ , the advantage is it being available using the VM remote , you may as well sign up independently, and as stated if it’s just the one series, binge watch it in the free trial period then cancel seems the best approach.

Thanks, that is what I thought but getting a definitive answer from Virgin was not possible!

Re: binging the second series of The Crow Girl in the free week.

Here's the episode listing from their website - the episode availability dates look odd, S02E01 available last week, other episodes available last Jan. Reckon that might have been a previous release schedule and maybe the whole season isn't up yet?

Maybe someone with P+ could check?

All episodes of S2 were released on the 20th July.

Looks like even VM themselves recommend to sign up via Paramount Plus directly:

    https://www.virginmedia.com/the-edit/tv/how-to-watch-paramount-plus-on-virgin-tv

    From there:

Simply sign up to Paramount+ via the website, where you can get a 7-day free trial to give you a taste of what’s on offer, then log in on the box. After the free trial, the app will cost £6.99 per month.

I subscribe through Amazon Prime. Is that an option for you?

Previously I had subscribed to Paramount directly but I found their app unbearably glitchy. I get a much smoother viewing experience going through Amazon. I suppose it's possible the problems were caused by my broadband service where we lived at the time, but Netflix etc worked fine there. However I vowed never to subscribe directly to Paramount+ again!

I have been paying £7.99 a month for the standard plan but Amazon just informed me it's going up to £9.99 a month. A bit pricey, so I think I'll downgrade to the basic tier with ads. The price of that seems to be remaining at £5.99 a month.

Not sure if it helps you but if you have Prime Video (Amazon) then you can get a 7 day free trial of Paramount + through Prime Video

We used to get it via Prime, but you are then locked into watching their programmes through Prime (good and bad). You can't log into the P+ app separately as you don't have a separate login. You also don't get any discounted offers from P+ via prime, beyond the 7 day free trial. When I cancelled it through Prime I was able to take up the 7 day free trial directly and got a reduced price for 3 months as well. As above, if you've got VM360 all the popular apps are available and you can log into each with your own log in.
