They haven't made their own TV's for years….I think TCL and Vestel made them for some time, but they have now moved that on to a Chinese company (Skyworth).

You like the look of the Anker Soundcore soundbar (they actually have a few) priced circa £40 to £110 or so which uses bluetooth to connect to your phone, BUT you don't want to compromise on the sound quality? Sorry, that's just not possible. It's either cheap and cheerful (and very much compromised sound) or you figure out a much larger budget. Preferably something with an ethernet port if using the likes of Tidal.

Depends what you mean by "making"… up until February they were still designing and engineering their premium models but outsourced the actual production to a third party (since 2021). Now its basically a licensing deal.
The fact that manufacturing is outsourced doesnt mean that much itself, Apple hasnt manufactured any of its major products since the 90s but no one is going to say a MacBook Pro is just a Dell laptop with a different logo despite the fact Quanta manufacture for both firms.

Really?
I have a 40 inch Panasonic (made by Vestel in Turkey I think) and that has the worst sound of any flat screen TVs I have encountered!
