AV senders and aerials -specific please!

Now don't be offended but I just want an answer to a specific question -no more. It concerns AV senders (I know about poor quality reception etc but that's not the issue). The scenario is this: TV in lounge connected to video, DVD & freeview box - this would act as the "sender". The "receiver" would be TV in bedroom - not connected to any other appliance but also not on its own aerial - therefore currently no picture. By "stealing" the picture from the set in the liunge would it work without an aerial as it's "using" the other set's one?
Hope that explains OK and thanks in advance!
PS. Part 2 of question: If the non-aerial set was connected to a freeview box - would this help? or would it work without the AV sender even though still not got its own aerial?

The "receiver" would get it's signal from the AV sender downstairs and go straight into a scart socket on the back of the TV. No aerial required.
There would be no advantage in connecting a digibox to the set becuase you haven't got an aerial input.
You ONLY be able to receive whatever the downstairs set is tuned to.
    Hope this helps.
  • Q1: Yes, mine does!

Q2: In case 2: No. Even WITH an aerial I can't receive Freeview (poor reception).
  • my AV sender is hooked up to my sky box downstairs, whatever channel I am watching downstairs can be viewed upstairs. I got one with a sky controller & some kind of infra red link up so i can change the sky channel from upstairs.

If I wanna put a dvd on downstairs and watch it upstairs I would have to unplug the AV sender from the back of the sky box and plug it into the dvd player instead.
Not sure if there's an easy way round this, I just have a separate dvd player upstairs now :D
