‘Defective’ lease (possibly) and should I pull out?

    The vendor has now heard back from freeholder who estimates £1500 for Deed of variation. So some progress but vendor is hoping we can exchange and complete before the Deed of Variation. They have said via EA that if it takes too long they will need to put a tenant in the flat!!! So I’m now also viewing other properties half expecting it will fall through. My solicitor chasing theirs as many queries outstanding.

    the vendor is bluffing. If they want to sell they would be mad to put a tenant in the property. It could take a year or more to get them out.
