Competition Terms and Conditions

• Competition opens on 1 July 2026 and closes at 23:59 on 31 July 2026. Entries received after this will not be included in the prize draw.
• To enter, entrants must complete the entry form on the competition page. Only one entry per person will be entered into the prize draw.
• Entrants must be aged 18 years and over. Prize winner and their guest must both be aged 18 years and over when redeeming the prize package, valid ID may be required when redeeming the prize package.
• The competition prize includes:
  • A consecutive 2-night stay from 4 – 6 September 2026 for two people sharing a Comfort Room at The White Hart, Lewes, including breakfast each morning. Dogs can be accommodated subject to room availability and an additional charge. All incidental charges must be settled by the guest prior to departure. Transport between Lewes train station and The White Hart is not included. 
  • Vineyard Tour and Tasting for two people at Artelium Wine Estate at 1pm on 5 September. Attendees must be aged 18+ and present valid photo ID. Food not included. Transport between Plumpton or Burgess Hill train station and the vineyard is not included.
  • Return train tickets for two adults to Lewes station and from Lewes to Plumpton station or from Lewes and Burgess Hill station on Southern Railway, Thameslink and Great Northern networks only. If the winner is based or travelling from a station not on the aforementioned networks, the winner will need to cover the cost at their own expense to the nearest qualifying station on the Southern Railway, Thameslink and Great Northern networks. Train tickets can only be issued a maximum two weeks prior to travel. To request the tickets, the winner must give at least three working days’ notice, and confirm if they require return tickets from Lewes to Plumpton station or Lewes to Burgess Hill station. The train tickets must be used in-conjunction with the wine-tasting experience and hotel stay and cannot be used on a different date or to a different location. The train tickets are only valid from 4th September until 6th September 2026 inclusive.
• Winner will be chosen at random from all entries received and verified by Promoter.
• Winner will be contacted via the email provided as part of their entry on 3 August 2026. Visit Lewes and competition partners will not contact the winner via social media or other communication channels.
• The winner must respond to confirm acceptance of their prize by 5 August 2026. Failure to respond by this date will result in forfeiting the prize.
• The prizes will be awarded to the name on the competition entry form. All elements of the prize packages are non-transferrable, non-refundable and cannot be redeemed for cash or other goods and services.
• Visa, passport validity and other travel requirements are the winner’s responsibilities. Travel expenses, outside of those listed as part of the prize package, are at the winner’s own cost.  
• Dates are non-transferable. No alternative dates or prize packages will be offered if prize winner is unable to redeem the prize package between 4 – 6 September 2026.
• The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
• The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
• Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and in accordance with our Privacy Policy.  Data will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.
• This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Instagram or any other Social Network.
• VisitLewes’ decision as to those able to take part and selection of winners is final. No correspondence relating to the competition will be entered into.
• VisitLewes shall have the right, at its sole discretion and at any time, to change or modify these terms and conditions, such change shall be effective immediately upon posting to this webpage.
• VisitLewes also reserves the right to cancel the competition if circumstances arise outside of its control.
