Tyres for castors
I might have more luck on an antiques forum, but since I'm here anyway…
I have in storage quite a nice old heavy circular table, suitable for card games or small family dining. It has ornamented brass feet with double-flanged castors.
Now, when this sat permanently on a thick rug on top of another carpet on a tiled concrete floor in my mum's old tower flat, the sharpness of the castor flanges wasn't really an issue. But rolling it around would do serious damage to bare floorboards or laminate, which makes me think the castors must originally have had tyres - way before my time of course.
Anyone know where I might be able to get such a thing as replacement vintage castor tyres?

Can you post a picture?
Furniture casters were often solid (brass) which wasn't a problem as people didn't have laminate floors.
But if yours have 'flanges' it does suggest there was some form of tyre originally. Probably unlikely you'll get replacements, and if you could then you'd have the issue of fitting them, unless they are the type where the wheel is only attached on one side. There may be options using rubber drive belts, or possibly using electrical insulation tape wrapped multiple times around the wheel.
Might be easier/cheaper to get and fit a modern equivalent, but keep the originals for authenticity if you even come to sell the table.
