Eaton House Coventry
Back in February my vehicle was picked up on CCTV as entering land near the train station. It was on site for 1 minute before leaving. UKPS, then Trace, and now Moorside Legal are asking £170.
I appealed asking for more information, my appeal rejected and no information received.
I complained to various departments in the council as they are part owner of the company who own the land. It went no where with it ending in email tennis where the council stated they own part of the company but are not responsible, they ignored my comments about the news articles where they have claimed responsibility for the good things the company of done, but hide from the bad.
I have now received a Letter of Claim and was hoping someone could give some advice on my response?
Dear Sirs,
I am writing in response to you Letter of Claim regarding UKPS and the vehicle registration XXXXXXX. The reference provided in your letter was XXXXXXXX.
I confirm that my address for service for the time being is as follows, and any older address must be erased from your records: xxxxxxxx
I found your Letter of Claim to be a drastic response as my last correspondence with your client was a request for more information regarding the claim such as evidence of a contract, images of the proposed signage, and confirmation of the required grace period from their governing body. I have been awaiting this information before responding.
Assuming they have also not provided you with details of the alleged contravention, UKPS are requesting £100 for my vehicle entering the land in which they operate, and leaving the next minute. This kind of situation has been won in court by alleged debtors countless times and I am sure a professional legal entity would be aware of how much of a waste of court costs and time this would be.
I refute any liability of costs and any court proceedings will be vigorously defended.
The only way I can find to send them this is through their portal, I created an account as they appear to already have all the information that is needed to create an account but to send them any form of document or query, they want my phone number. This is something I don't want to provide as I've had previous nasty phone calls which I've posted about.
Based on other posts, the advice has been to wait for the claim form. Is that still the right way to go, or should I give my details to Moorside Legal?
Also really annoyingly, I received this letter almost 2 weeks after the date on it. As our post is almost always quickly received, I have doubts as to the legitimacy of the date. I have 2 weeks to reply.

@MustBeMe32104 I'd definitely take up @ChirpyChicken's offer as they're a qualified regular who's done this for others in your situation.
