PCN from council for disabled space
Hello everyone,
I am looking for some guidance as I feel a bit preyed on at the minute. We recently visited a town near our home and found a parking space at the end of a row so we could get our son out of the back, when driving around and looking for spaces we saw many occupied spaces with markings for disabled and child bays etc
we parked up, got our son out and walked opposite the car unto a keepers, about 30 seconds later we saw an attendant walk up and place ticket on window, we instantly went out and asked what we had done wrong and he said it’s a disabled space, pointed to a tiny sign and then I apologised and moved the car (ticket already issued(
The car park itself is laid out in a way that you must reverse park, the sign is very small and wouldn’t of been in plain view and the markings had eroded completely, with no discolouring or anything to show there was markings there.
Is this something I can argue? I have appealed and it was rejected but feel it was very unfair based on the tiny sign not in clear view and no repeaters, no markings or indication otherwise that it would be a disabled bay. We would not of parked there if we suspected it.
I can uploaded some photos from a year or so ago and the evidence submitted if that helps. Otherwise if it’s just “tough luck” then fair enough, but feels very very predatory and unfair

Who issued it?

it was a council PCN, not private

In that case, we suggest that you post your query over on the FTLA parking forum website after reading their posting requirements first
