I've read the article and it seems like they are strong arming me into accepting repairs.

How can I 'accept' repairs if I didn't know what repairs were required?

How can they have more then 1 attempt at repairs and think that is reasonable.

I am taking everything back Friday Night / Saturday and issuing them the LBA, hope they pay out before it goes to legal action.

so car taken back and LBA issued. They are still maintaining that I signed for repairs, however they haven’t completed any repairs as it’s still under diagnostics even though they have rang me 2x to date to pick the car up as it’s ready.
they slipped up and said I signed a document last time I went, I didn’t sign any document so I’m going to be asking for the full file on what they have on me as it seems it could be fraud

    Good afternoon,

I bought a car from Trade Centre UK on the 16th June, 2 days later I notified them the car had a knocking from the front right when reversing, air con blowing warm, rattle under acceleration and carbon in the oil.

They advised they couldn't get the car in until the 10th July so I took it in then, took a technician out who said it sounded like a snapped spring. I was called a couple of days afterwards and was advised the car was repaired. Went to the dealership and advised they have had the car up on the ramps and cant find any issue. So I asked to take a technician out with me so they can hear the noise. The technician drove the car around and said I don't even need to go out with you its a snapped spring. He advised it was un road worthy and I couldn't take the car home. After this I rejected the car, they advised as I have signed a form allowing them to repair I can't reject. Eventhough they completed the air con repair (re-gassing).

Fast forward to 23rd July, advised once again the car was ready, went down couldn't find any issues once again. Took a technician out and within 200 yards heard the same problems. So at this point, I repeated my attempt to reject the car and was advised once again since I have accepted repairs I cant reject the vehicle.

Fast forward to today (31st July) the car still isn't repaired, still is in their possession with them stating they are 'investigating' the issues. I have issued them with a LBA (letter before Action).

Can someone point me in the right direction. I paid by card payments (Debit card). Is giving them 21 days to repair a vehicle an ample amount of time and waives the right for them to repair the vehicle, I only signed the repair form once on the 10th July. Since I haven't taken the car in my possession they have stated this means no repairs were complete and they still have the chance at a repair.

Join the queue. These companies work on high volume low margin, customer rights aren't a priority and as a result they come and go, to be replaced by another high volume low margin, low customer care set up.
