    Morning all

And I thought I was ne of the early risers at 8am!!! Hope everyone is ok. Had a really lazy day yesterday and it shows :( Took A swimming and then went to morrisons for food shopping for lil party tea tonight and decided to do the regular shopping as well. It was so busy and I hate the queues so figured we were there, let's do it now. Then the afternoon we all dossed about playing/reading/surfiing/tv watching.

This morning we are going ice skating as a treat for A's birthday (8 tomorrow). At last count there will be 8 kids and 5 adults! Decided to take W with us, will be his first time so not sure how that will go down lol Might have to take some cushions to tie to his bum :rotfl: As a teen I used to go every Saturday with my mates. This afternoon is party tea with adoptive grandparents, Monday is school (obviously!), KFC for tea (A's request) and then cubs, Tues party tea again at Nannies! Oh and next Sat A is off to see High School Musical on Ice. Not bad stretching it all out over a week!

So not a lot is going to get done here today but hey ho it'll be there when we get back and we will have had a good time.

Love the pic of the baby Solway, good to see you on MSN as well ;)

Hugs to everyone, hope you have a good day whatever you get up to.

  • Have a good skate, AnW'smum, and a happy birthday week for A!

I've been trawling the recipe threads as I've decided to have a sesh in the kitchen after I've done some food shopping. Until then I'm just going to read the paper. Bliss.

    Catch you all later perhaps.

sounds great fun AnW, though i am useless at ice-skating!

i have finished most of what i needed to do and have written a missive of instructions to the hotel! hopefully we can get it sent off today. am hoping it will be ok as they are meant to be tables of 8, 10 or 12 but i have a few 11s - they will either have to squash up or spread out! i am getting to the stage where i don't care any more!

  • Morning all, she says as she rubs her eyes blearily. I've been up since 6, done 2 cups of tea, washed the bedding charlie wet and remade his bed, stripped our bed and that is now washing, and just hung a load of washing up on the airers that i did last night before bed.

We all ate a nice breakie of scrambled egg on toast made by DH, and now we are all ready. DH and DS about to go back to the retail park to buy some lino for the bathroom that we spotted yesterday, via a trip to the tip to get rid of excess cardboard from xmas ready for the wardrobes to be delivered in the next couple of weeks. I am supposed to start work when they leave, but my eyes feel like they need matchsticks. Guess i had best get the kettle back on again then  Don't know when the rest part comes into the weekend.

AnW's mum happy birthday to A. Great fun to spread it out, and may save you some cooking at some stage. Are you going to the Queen's road rink? I fell last time i went skating and had my arm out of action for a week, and that is why i do not bother to go anymore. I dare say we will take charlie and bump when they are bigger, but i will be more watching than helping them.

Rach remember some relaxation time today.

  • Morning, I think, Dusty!

Just making a to do list for me, DH and DS(aged 5) - interesting list of what everyone finds either must be done today or just plain I want to do... :D However some items are definitely DS with DH - so looks like I'll have some time in peace to iron, do paperwork etc

Had a fun day yesterday - can highly recommend the Didcot Railway Centre even on a non-steaming day. Plenty to keep a train mad family occupied. A bit chilly by the end but totally OD'd on steam trains.

And a nice evening, alcohol, a takeaway and the TV with my fave person - a nice chilled time.

Now best raise my carcass and crack on. Still frozen lunch won't be too good would it! :D

    Moam

oh before I forget again - any ideas on where to find one of those bra amender straps? The ones that pull a normal bra's straps together at the back for crossover style tops? Thanks!
Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

    Morning all

Looks like we may be in for a bit of rain again later:mad: . Dont mind the cold but hate the rain.

Solway - Sad decision but think it was the right one. You sound relieved (ok you type like you are relieved - does that make sense:confused::D ). Pointless stringing him along I think you just get a feeling with these things.

Michelle - Your cracking on with that list now and a 4D scan wow! are you taking Charlie with you?

Happy birthday tomorrow for A:j , enjoy the ice skating ( cannot wait till girls are older so we can do that stuff)

I now have a washing mountain in my bedroom (where the laundry basket lives), so big plan for next week is to get it upto date. Have got a busy week though as I have 2 driving lessons booked so loose my childfree time. Feeling a bit funny about driving again as I think my last lesson was end of November as one or other of kids ill during whole of december so never fitted any in.

Did cooked breakfast this morning which littles devoured, in fact DD2 had half my scrambled egg as well as her own. Got meatballs out for tea - yummy!

At work till 3pm then DH picking me up and we are off to get a bit of shopping. Girls ballet stuff came yesterday so they both had to try it on when I got home from work yesterday. It was like the sugar plum fairy (DD1) and the sugar lump (DD2):D , they both looked so cute. I had to put their hair in buns again this morning and left they dancing away to the ballet music - DH was looking for ear plugs:rotfl: , still makes a change from the hairspray soundtrack.

    Have a good day x

    Morning ladies

I am sitting here surrounded by hundreds of maps. One of yesterday's winners was pipped at the post by someone else for one particular map and he asked if I had another. Of course, the maps are in no particular order! So I spent about an hour hunting through them all to see if I had a duplicate of the one he missed out on. Unfortunately, I don't. Maybe I should spend sometime this afternoon properly sorting them out - I know there are some duplicates there, it would be good to have them all together.

I spent most of yesterday putting some more maps up. If they all sell for an average of £10, I shall be laughing all the way to the bank! But, they probably won't - I was probably just lucky with the first ones I put up. But, nothing ventured, nothing gained and at least the loft is cleared!

So, not much flying has been done here over this weekend but, thanks to you ladies, as I did most of the heavy stuff in the week, I can get away not doing much this weekend. But I do have to go to Mr T's soon.

If I'm brave enough, I might just take a photo of the front room with the maps all over the place and put it up here to motivate me to organise them properly!

Rach re your wine problem - what we did when my son got married was get the waiting staff to keep topping up glasses rather than putting full bottles on the table. We just paid for the number of bottles used at the end. Could that work for you?
