Good morning - a late post from me. The early morning heavy rain has now stopped.
Overnight the fire alarms kept going off, what a loud piercing noise it is. Lots of wafting of towels, however, in Scotland the legal requirement is for all alarms to be interlinked. That means if one goes off they all do! After the third blast I used my walking stick to knock two of them off the ceiling, they're now outside in the garden. I can't reach the one in the kitchen as the ceiling is higher. I'll need to have them replaced, and with hard-wired ones. All that meant that my sleep was disrupted too many times for much sleep. Perhaps I'll have a wee nap later.
I've been out into the wee village for some cheese and was tempted by Dutch apple cake. There's two kite boarders out in the sea so I stopped to watch for a while. The strong wind was making them whizz around so fast. Fascinating to watch.
Enjoy your time at the 'van @TravellingAbuela. Happy packing @dp1, I hope that your meal out is tasty @Camelot1001.
Hugs to all xx
