Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. We never got the promised overnight light showers last night. Maybe tonight! It still feels mild and there are snippets of blue sky and sunshine.
I have decided to have a week at the caravan from tomorrow as the forecast is quite good once we are over the w/e. DS is taking me over and it's a good job I am an early riser as he is picking me up at 7.30! I shall try to be as organised as I can be before going to bed, just the stuff stashed in the fridge and freezer to grab last minute.
Meanwhile it's shopping morning today with not such an early pick up time! DS has to go to the wholesalers in the "big city" for supplies for the cricket club first so probably around 10.00 he says. A few treats for my jaunt to the 'van are on the list.
Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Thinking of YL especially... Btw thoughts of that bat walk gave me the shudders. They really do give me the creeps. Take care all x

Morning again, it's a sunny start here, yesterday was nice, with a cool breeze.
Sorry to hear life is a bit tough at the moment YL, hope it settles down.
SuffolkSue, hope you're feeling all right. Over £3 for a cheese scone, good grief! It should have been gold plated for that price. Hope it was nice!
Not much going on here, well, we're planning to go to Bishop Auckland where the Palace of the Bishops of Durham is, we went last year and husband wants to go again. It is well worth another visit. We might take a picnic.
That's today accounted for, it should be a nice day out.
Hope everyone has as good a day as they can, take care folks.

Morning all
Going to be another hot one today!
Have a lovely week at your caravan @TravellingAbuela
We've been given a date for the replacement of our floor, not looking forward to the upheaval but it is what it is. Went out late afternoon as we had to go and choose what floor we wanted and will give them the info. Had something to eat while we were out so no cooking which was a bonus.
Making a cake this morning, watering the garden in a mo and that's about it for today as it's going to be too hot for anything else.
Have a good day all x

Morning all and thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons x
The bat walk was surprisingly interesting. We held gadgets that tuned into the frequency the bats ‘talk’ at. I called it a Batometer and was given a withering look by one of the guides - ooops. We saw two types of pipistrelles 🦇
We are out for a picnic today in west London. Nephew has moved in with his GF so it’s a housewarming of sorts. The young ones will stay the night.
I’m off to Yorkshire tomorrow - think the forecast is 50% rain but that’s okay. I’ll pack later once we’re home. Enjoy your time at the van @TravellingAbuela x
Have a good day allCoxy

morning everyone thanks for the start scarlet I will wave at you today you are not far from me we try to get down tho the palace gardens most Sunday mornings it’s cool for the dog and so peaceful the gardens are beautiful they have done a lot of work on them considering a few years ago they were practically derelict if you go into the palace grounds and look over you can see the eagles nest they have built for part of the Kynren show enjoy your day . Have a lovely week at the caravan TA .Chirsca I don’t envy you we had to have our kitchen floor renewed when we moved in here it was one of the last things we were having some flooring put down after weeks of upheaval and when he took the old laminate up best part of the floor came with it so we were back to microwaves and kettle in the living room climbing over extension cables until the new floor dried we had just got everything put back but the lads who did it put other jobs off to come and finish it I think they felt sorry for me but look on the bright side you will soon have a lovely new floor I kept telling myself you can’t make an omelette without breaking eggs . I’ve got 3 dogs to look after today my own and my friend is away for the day and another friend is going to the cinema hubby is playing golf and I’m looking after 3 dogs and making shepherds pies for the freezer how come I always get the short straw . Still lovely and warm but showers later I will hang the washing out it should soon dry I need to pop out later for a couple of things but otherwise nothing much happening. One of my granddaughters has just had her first Holiday abroad with some friends I think she has enjoyed it but she will be glad to be home today well it’s all experience. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing

Morning all. Sunshine again and it seems to be getting hotter.
Had a lovely day yesterday with DD and younger DGS. They came back here for lunch and a play but, golly, DGS at 2 yrs old is very loud! We were trying to get him to take turns talking around the table and not to talk with food in his mouth but he is hilarious about it.
Today we are dancing at a fete about 75mins away so early lunch required. I really ought to make a few small cakes as we are out early tomorrow for a full day on a canal boat and have to take our own lunch.
I did manage to catch the end of the JL sale and posted one outfit for the youngest DGS, who is only 3 months and lives in London. Well, I'm not surprised no one uses the Post Office any more as it was silly prices to post things. I told the cashier I could have driven there and back for less money!
Best wishes to all and have a good weekend.

Good morning
Sunny outside and another hot day forecast, yesterday was breezy so didn't feel so hot. I've been missing for a couple of days as DD and family had a stay at Bakewell so have spent the time with them. It was lovely to see the dgds but how they have grown!
Back to reality today, usual chores to do, actually to catch up on. Need to sort out the fridge as DD gave us a bag of food they didn't want to take home, lots of fruit in there.
@YorksLass So sorry DSs job didn't work out, and hope DD sorts herself out.
@TravellingAbuela Enjoy your time at the van.
Have a good day all, take care.

Morning everyone
It's very windy here this morning, as it was all day yesterday. I have a list of jobs to do today, starting with giving the house a good clean before I go away on Monday. There's a pile of ironing to do too, and then I'll sort my holiday clothes, I won't need too much as we're planning to be lazy…it's going to be too hot for me to move much anyways!
DD and the little ones will be home about 6 tomorrow night and, guess what, they're staying here overnight! I'll have to get my case packed tomorrow morning, so little one can get in her bed. It will be lovely to see them before I go away, my house has been far too quiet this last week.
Right best get on, I hope everyone has a good day. Yorkslass I hope things settle down for you x

Morning all
Bright and sunny here and meant to get up to 30 today, OH will take little dog out for a longer walk in the woods and I will take big dog for a shorter one, dd is working a late shift.
I want to get in the garden later and do some pottering and tidying, I may need a few replacement plants 😬
Bbq for dinner tonight I will see if mum wants one too, we have chicken thighs pork belly and sweetcorn and new potatoes or rice.
York's lass I thought during the week that I hadn’t seen you posting, I hope your DS finds a new job which is more suitable, as for your dd - what a cheek she has! I hope you are ok sending hugs xx
Have good days all and take care x

Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet, enjoy your trip out.
The weather has certainly changed here, much cooler with a breeze and rain. Looks a bit brighter at the moment so not sure if I should peg out some washing.
I was going to walk to the shop for supplies but my lovely neighbour text to say she was going and did I want a lift - yes I did! I don't mind walking and taking the trolley but there are lots of steps back up to the house so have to lug the trolley full of shopping.
Sorry you're having a hard time YL. Hope your DS gets something soon and DD sorts herself out.
Poor big dog Ruby, hope you find out what's wrong.
You've a big heart Izzy looking after 3 dogs!
Have lovely holidays TA and dp1.
The bat walk sounds interesting Coxy - did you wear a black cape?
Hope you're ok Suffulksue, I agree the price of that cheese scone is shocking.
I've some tidying up to do before DS2, GF and friend arrive this afternoon, they are taking me out for dinner tonight to say thank you for lending them the car. To be quite honest I haven't really missed it but then I haven't had to go to work. The little one and I went to the allotment on the bus yesterday, for her it was a treat!
Hope everyone is well and you have a good weekend. Take care. XX
