You are now your daughter's landlord, so you need landlord insurance.
Please make sure you are also up to date with all the landlords legal requirements

Does your daughter pay you rent? Does she have a written tenancy agreement with you?
If so then you need landlord insurance (plus lots more legal requirements including setting up arrangements with HMRC to pay tax on what she pays you), as @FlorayG says.
But if you are one of the increasing number of parents who allow their child to live in a house rent-free (some even pay utility bills as well!) there are some insurers who offer Specialist Family-Occupied Cover policies which treat immediate family living rent-free as an extension of standard residential risk rather than a commercial rental.
Here's an example of one:

The following article should explain the building insurance requirements for homes occupied by family members -

You say recently but has the will/ probate been done and has the house actually passed to you and land registry changed to your name?
A pal of mine was I a similar situation as you but no relative living in the house but found it hard to get insurance as they weren't the legal owners yet but could get contents insurance.
He and his wife moved into the house a month after the parent died and not sure who insured the house but he was worried if anything happened to the house he would be left with just the land.
If the house burned does or was demolished by a gas explosion.
