Morning all, thanks for the start @Gers.

I haven't posted all week due to RL and all that, but have been reading along. I won't comment on what others have been up to otherwise this post would end up like an essay 😁 but I do wish everyone well with whatever is happening in their lives.

I seem to have spent the best part of this last week trying to help DS and DD with their problems but have now stepped back - there's a limit and I've reached mine. DS's last job hasn't turned out well (I had an idea it wouldn't) and he's unemployed again; absentee DD who only ever gets in touch when she wants something is in serious debt and seems to think I can (and will) bail her out. I have in the past but not this time. This definitely isn't how I imagined my old age would be. 🙄

The weather has been a week of sunny intervals and comfortable temperatures but no rain and everything is looking very parched. My hanging baskets are being watered every day and still flourishing to give the bees and butterflies a helping hand. The laundry is up to date and being dried outside, meals are still of the summer variety so not much cooking being done. Today there's the Friday admin to do, a quick top-up shop alongside a bag of soft plastics to take for their recycling bin and a bag of clothes for the SA clothing bank. Dinner tonight is fresh fish with baby potatoes, peas & sweetcorn.

I'm so sorry YL. We don't need.this hassle in our old age do we. I've lost count of the times in the past we had one or t'other back home (twice with cats!) after break ups. I said more than once I wish we had stuck to dogs they are less trouble than kids. (I didn't really mean it!) I hope they soon sort their problems out x

Have managed to fill my days this week despite having no work. They don't need me next week either so I'm off to Yorkshire with DSis for a few days hiking.

Late today

Today is my 55 th wedding anniversary and it’s hit a bit hard .

Think it’s because the hassle of trying to arrange lifts and cover for my spinal jab ( can’t be on my own that night due to sedation,my dgs is staying ) has brought it home that I’m on my own ,bit pathetic really

Went down to the crem and talked to DH plaque ,felt better ,went into town to buy myself freesias, my favourites but none to be had

Thought I’d treat myself to a cheese scone to bring home for coffee ,paid Since when did cheese scones cost £3.10 !!

Suffolk sue tomorrow is another day your not been pathetic you are been human take care of yourself feet up relax and treat yourself to some freesias after your jab . I agree the price of that scone was shocking but did you enjoy it chin up big hugs
