Morning All
Thanks for the start Gers, there's been a very slight shower here too but so far not enough to wet the pavements.
The little one and I went down to the shops yesterday when it was cool and overcast, came back in blazing sunshine! Had our lunch outside and played some games before her Mum came to collect her. After that I walked to the post office to get some stamps, certainly got my steps in yesterday.
Once the little one is dropped off by Granny this morning we'll get the bus to allotment 1 to dig some potatoes and gather the peas, I bet there's a courgette or two there as well.
Hope the big dog is ok Ruby, sounds worrying.
Hoping the anti'Bs do their job WL.
Once the little one has gone home I'll do some cleaning and get the bed ready for an exta guest - DS1 and GF have a friend with them so she's staying for a night tomorrow. It means I have to put all the toys away and sadly dismantle the village the little one has made.
Hope everyone is ok and you have a good day. Take care. XX

Morning, thanks Gers.
It's.fine here, warmish.
Sorry to hear you've got a rat problem Camelot, I keep an eagle eye out for them. Haven't seen any in the garden since we got rid of our bird table, it had become a diner for rats as well. Blooming things. We never used to see them until the council stopped pest control during Covid.
I took a little bag of stuff to the cs yesterday. There'll be more, I have another couple of drawers to go through.
Hope everyone has a good day, take care folks

Well good morning from Le Shuttle, we have just boarded. DGC not overly impressed with having to be up at 5.30, hey ho they can sleep on the journey down.
Havent managed to catch up on yesterdays news yet so will wish everyone a good day, hugs to all who want them.

Morning all. Another bright, sunny day here. Still hoping for rain.
We had a super day out at Hughenden Manor yesterday, with an excellent talk from one of the volunteer guides on its role in map production for Bomber Command at nearby High Wycombe during WW2. They also had some lovely Christmas cards in the shop so I indulged in a few.
Today DD is picking me up to go clothes shopping with the DGSs so I'm sure the purse will be opened again! I really need to do some ironing as we have a busy weekend ahead and my favourite summer trousers are sitting in the pile.
Last of the antibiotics to take today, thank goodness. Haven't a clue what we're having for dinner but I seem to have bought too much fruit as usual. All nice stuff that I bought to ripen up and then it all needs eating at once.
Hope everyone else is ok. Have an enjoyable weekend.

Back. I think that the rain was overnight, now there's a fine misty drizzle going on. Someone will be happy!
On my way home from depositing the bedding I stopped at the local butcher's shop which also does fruit and veg. I got some juicy properly ripe plums and nectarines, no waiting for them to ripen forever.
Matt, the grass cutting man is coming this morning, he's also delivering two dumper bags of logs. I have plenty for this coming winter, these new ones need seasoning in the barn. I like to see plenty in there. Must move my car now.
Take care all.

morning everyone enjoy the rain Gers I know we could definitely do with some we have another hot day I’m off out to do my volunteering today then I get my nails done tonight when I finish the charity shop I’ve been trying to look after them a bit better as they split easily but wearing gloves to to jobs has helped if I remember. Ruby I hope the big dog is alright what a worry . I have had a washable rug hanging out all night I washed it yesterday but it wouldn’t spin so it’s drip dried all night it’s one I put down in my kitchen to make it a bit warmer not that it matters in this weather but in the winter it does make a difference when you are standing in there . Pasta salad for tonight nice and easy . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing

Morning all, thanks Gers. Cool and cloudy in the NW, no rain yet though. I think DH is going to do a little repair job for a friend today, not sure when. Hope we can take DDog out before he goes, he managed a little paddle in the river yesterday - just enough to cool his feet 😊. In the afternoon DS1 and I had a quick trip up to the retail park. He wanted a new shirt as he's at a wedding tomorrow, made a change of scenery. When I got back my old schoolfriend rang to see if I was free next week as there is a possibility she may come. Long chat/catch up followed. Later on my cousin rang for more of the same.
I found 2 small pork steaks in the freezer so DH and I had those & DS a pizza. Did a jacket spud for DH too. Not being doing too many hot meals recently!
Right better get a move on, have a good day all.

Slightly overcast here this morning but the sun is due out later, I have a load in the wm so will get that hung out shortly.
Turns out big dog does not have Lyme disease which is good news but we are now back to square one with what’s wrong with her 🤷♀️ she can only manage tiny walks atm and seems to be in pain in her back legs, we will continue resting her and giving her the meds to see if that helps.
Camelot I hope your rat problem is sorted soon, I have not seen the one in our garden for weeks and I’m wondering if the sparrow hawk that I saw dive into our hedge caught it, they are horrible things 😩
Dogs to be taken for a quick bimble this morning and then I have to go and get their food which is only up the road so won’t take long.
I may have a nana nap this afternoon as I had a very disturbed night with very little sleep.
Have good days all and take care xx

Really warm here this morning but definitely no rain expected down here today
Sorry to hear about your doggy @RedRuby1231 hope you get to the bottom of the problem soon
I seem to be joining the full up freezer club here. Got a few yellow sticker bargains in Marks today. Can't resist!
No plans today except enjoying the sun.
Have a good day all x

Morning folks and thanks GERS. No rain here but they say a light shower tomorrow. Well I started this at 8.00 am and I'm finally back with you! DD rang and I finally got off the phone at 9.30!! She's at the caravan for a few days and I'm now up to date with all her news! She's so busy flying between all her jobs she never has time to ring or call when she's at home!
I got my promised jobs done yesterday and even filled my dosset boxes a few days early! Today it's dust and vac up and down day but first I must empty the washing machine which finished an hour and a half ago! I don't know whether to risk pegging out or not as it's clouding in now, though rain not forecast until tomorrow but I don't always believe them!
Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly dogs, sad or lonely. Take care all, be safe x
