Block Driveway Issues
Hello, can anyone help with this please.
When it rains, rain water runs towards the wall in the picture and pools. It eventually goes into the drain. The installer says there is no issue at all as it doesn’t breach my damp course. however, I am very concerned. Any advice would be appreciated.

It needs re-doing so that it slopes towards the drain grille, not perpendicular to it.

I would ask the installer to redo the joints (pointing) in the area that is puddling so that there is a run off towards the drain.
How long does it take for puddles to drain away once rain stops?

As other have said. It should be designed with a gentle slope, typically a 1:80 fall away from your home's damp-proof course to guide water safely toward your drain.

Would have been better with a drain from garage down side of house

Hi it takes about 20 to 30 mins.

I mentioned it yesterday that your address is visible in the photo (bin).

Not too long then but long enough for it to be worthwhile to get it sorted.
As I said get the installer to redo the joints (pointing) in the area with more porous pointing and with a drop towards the new drain.
