NatWest D2 Marker
Hello, just a quickie,
Does anyone know what a NatWest D2 marker is at all? and is it a bad thing?

A google search suggests …
If you are seeing a "D2" marker associated with your NatWest account, this almost certainly refers to a CIFAS (Credit Industry Fraud Avoidance System) marker. In the UK, CIFAS uses specific categories, and a "D2" code typically denotes Facility Refused (Fraud) or indicates that a fraud flag was placed on a current or previous credit application
and then links to CIFASMarkers below, although on that page there's no specific reference to D2

that’s odd as I’ve never had a CIFAS marker

Where are you seeing this marker?

a NatWest staff member mentioned it

Is that the AI Overview at the top of the Google search?
Has the OP actually been declined a new account, borrowing facility or had accounts closed?

I’ve been declined an account in the past but nothing other than that, however that was ages ago. I’ve got an account with them which I’ve had 20 years.

it's very unlikely they'd retain your accounts with a first party fraud marker.
It's probably either a 3rd party party marker or a marker not to lend.

no I’ve got an overdraft and a credit card with them and have done for years

Is there an R2 marker to go with it?
