You can try but this tactic tends not to work as financial institutions will keep your details on file and not consider you a new customer when you open a new account.

There is no hard and fast rule, and you wouldn't normally re-open a closed account. You might be able to apply for the same type of account again, if indeed it is still on offer. Other providers only allow you one account of the same type, ever. You need to check what the respective T&Cs are saying. And look out for pitfalls, such as interest not paid for months you make withdrawals in, or paying interest only into a non-ISA account.

AFAIK, T212 does allow you to open further ISAs after closing an old one. They will only pay you the boosted rate on your first ISA though, and their non-boosted rate isn't currently much good. Moneybox currently only allow you one ISA ever. Other providers allow you multiple ISAs in parallel (e.g. Meteor, HL, Nationwide).

I've now run through all of the FinTech ISAs with their new customer only bonus rates that change twice a day, and moved away once the bonus rates disappeared.

Can't be bothered tracking which ones will/will not let me back, let me back if I change my email address etc. Have now placed my funds with "normal" providers at the cost of a few basis points on the rate.

Where I have multiple accounts with Cambridge, principality, etc. I've started closing down the extra accounts and leaving one open, just in case a nice reg saver comes along.
