No it isn't, there is absolutely nothing wrong with it morally. It doesn't matter how much one earns, if a discount can be obtained then go for it. As others have said, these 'Student cards' are just a marketing tool to entice one into shopping at a particular place.

The companies do not sell at a loss, the business model is to hopefully sell more. Nobody is losing out if people get the cards they are entitled to.
People have mentioned blue light cards, you can can significant discounts, many thousand of pounds on new cars, those that are aggrieved might also want to investigate and complain about those as well🤷♂️

In this context I agree, as no one else is deprived of a discount by you taking advantage of one.
On the other hand, if someone with spare cash buys all the discounted bread before the supermarket shuts, they could be depriving others who would struggle to feed their kids if they bought full price food.

What discounted bread, there are discounts on many items. Go to the supermarket at the end of the day and buy the yellow tickets.
