Which shows that it will not make a noticeable difference for those who are quite affluent but for someone unfortunate enough to be on a low income and heating a poorly insulated home with electricity it will be most welcome I would think.

Making the ratio of electric to gas per kWh far higher than it should be.

Making electric SCs far higher than they should be.

This could even be seen as the first step in rebalancing the two.

Domestic gas use a c16% contribution to UK emissions - for their cooking, hot water and winter heating over and above their share of electrics 10% - far higher than all electric domestic users share of electricity generation 10% for their equivalent uses.

Who have and had to for decades (RO, FIT etc) to pay green net zero charges on essentials like hw and heating energy units too.
