Used car review request

Hi All,
Does this look like a good deal:https://www.cazoo.co.uk/cars-for-sale/78946884/

Specifically, do you think this car would soon become a money pit? I’ve heard horror stories about old German cars. I know I should just get a Toyota but their designs don’t seem to click with me (sounds silly, I know). I’m happy to do regular maintenance (oil change etc) but don’t want large, unexpected repair bills.

Thanks for any help

It is ten years old, any car of that age will have an expensive repair at some point, its why the roads aren't full of 20+ year old cars. You move from paying depreciation on a newer car to paying for repairs on an older one.

Items to bear in mind which may need attention at some point.

    Cambelt
    Water pump
    Turbo
    Exhaust
    Cat converter
Brake, pads and calipers especially rears
    Clutch
Suspension components, springs, shocks bushes, drop links
Under bonnet plastics may start failing
    Aircon

Looks like a nice car to me. Price is about what you would expect for this one in 10-y-o low mileage good condition. Check tyres/wheels as no close-ups provided

The later 1.4tsi uses a belt and is pretty reliable though you do want to see a full service history for that price

Check the MOT history, failed or advisories for tyres and a fail for the wiper blade.

To me that is someone who drives knowing the wiper does not clear the screen but still takes
it for an MOT? And tyres worn near the limit maybe the tester being thorough and letting them
know they need to fit new tyres but then worn on the edge and a gouge in the sidewall.

Then it fails again for a wiper a year after the previous fail, £ shop wiper blades?

It would be a pass for me, but there are probably far worse cars. Does it mention the service history?
Any receipts to show what has been done? I get the feeling everything was done at the last minute?
