Civil Enforcement PCN - Claim Form

Good Afternoon,

I have received a letter from CE regarding a PCN from Feb 2025. Initially I didn't get the original fine as I had moved property and not updated my log book. DCBL then contacted me a few months later at my current address. I tried to appeal to them and they outright said no to any appeal. A few months went by with numerous letters, but I spoke to a company at the free car park(2 hour limit) - (stayed 2hrs 30mins, Didn't realise time limit), who emailed the owners on my behalf. I was advised by them that they had cancelled as a gesture of goodwill. I have no proof of this, as the manager of the shop no longer works at the place.

After not hearing anything from DCBL for a few months, I started getting letters from CE instead. They sent me a letter before claim with income/expenditure etc. I emailed them to say I wasn't paying and followed a template from this forum. But they emailed back eventually to say I still owed £170.

I now have a claim form and letter regarding Northampton County Court.

What do I need to do now? I have 14 days to respond.

I have read a few things on here, but it is baffling me and the new £170 + £35 + interest is worrying me, along with CCJ etc. Any advise would be appreciated

Definitely wasn't from Northampton County Court, it was from the CNBC, different job , different address !

Post the Issue date from the top right of the claim form below

It's just a claim form to defend. You'll never pay. Read post 2 of the NEWBIES thread.

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
