European Breakdown cover, 23 year old car.

Hello,

We are taking our MR2 to France for 2 days but struggling to find European breakdown cover for it. The cover will need to include repatriation, regardless of the value of the car.

Any suggestions or recommendations please.

I've always used Adrian Flux (Flux Rescue) for my classic Merc - and were good on the one time I've called them out. They can usually cover anything for a price.

There is an owner's club/online community for every model of car, even more so when it has a bit of character like the MR2.

MR2 and France always makes me chuckle.

They never sold well there due to their name, MR deux, which sounds like poop.

Nationwide Flexplus account includes breakdown insurance for Europe, no age limit on cars so ideal in this situation and only £18 per month (so could be a total of £18)

True, but I doubt whether they'd meet the OP's requirement, i.e. repatriate even if it costs more than the car's worth.

Quite simply, you won't find any Euro breakdown provider that will agree to spend thousands to recover a £500 shed from Greece.

Value is ALWAYS a factor in repatriation.
