Morning again, it's grey and chilly here, as was yesterday.
We received the good news yesterday that dh can apply to get his driving licence back. He's started the process, he's wrestling with the DVLA website.
I'm doing a bit of shopping today, and of course there's always housework.
Hope everyone else is all right, thoughts to anyone who is sad or poorly.
Take care folks.

Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet, pleased to hear your DH can apply for his driving licence back.
Sunny again this morning, will get a wash load sorted once I've had a shower. Washing yesterday was dried in no time and is all put away, I've ironed the few things I had this morning. Kitchen has been given a good clean this morning too.
DS2 and GF are in Edinburgh this weekend, DS2 will come here tomorrow to pick up the car for the week, they are going to Skye along with GF's pal. I'm going up to Costco this morning to fill up the car and get a few bits, will have to stay local next week.
Hope your DD and the little one enjoy Butlins dp1, happy holidays!
Sounds like the morris event was good fun WL, loved the clip of the Bishop dancing.
Sorry to hear your health problems Suffolksue, hugs to you.
How lovely of the volunteers to save the fish Ruby hope you got the boiler fitted ok.
Yesterday was another paddling pool day for the little one, she could stay in there forever but I'm always worried she will get burnt - I had a dip too. It's all packed away now but will get it back out if the weather is still good next week.
Hope everyone has a good weekend, take care. XX

Good news on the driving licence Scarlet.
Cloudy here at the moment and a bit cooler than it has been.
Only 2 jobs today, strip and remake the bed, decorate some cupcakes and then out for a nice meal with family tonight to celebrate my DS 40th birthday. Doesn't time fly!
Have a good day all x

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. I hope your DH doesn't have to wait too long.
Suffolk Sue that sounds very painful. It's disgusting how long you would have to suffer the pain if you didn't pay for the private treatment.
The sun is trying to get out but not a lot of sunshine is forecast for today. The temps are dipping by the day now, until they climb back up after the w/e. We are only set to reach the dizzy heights of 20 deg today.
I am going to another show today. This time the girls are performing with their dance academy. I think the dancing and the music will be more to my taste this time, after the loud contemporary stuff of the last show with middle DGD performing. I much prefer ballet and classical music. I'm an old fashioned old biddy!
Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care all, be safe x

Good morning
A sunny start but temperatures due to be down to 22 degs. I hope so as I've got a fancy to do some baking after weeks of not cooking. I'm going to try a recipe for marmite and cheese sausage rolls that I've seen on a vlog. Hopefully they'll turn out ok, but DH will eat them no matter what, he loves pastry. To make it easy I've got ready rolled puff.
Other than that only usual chores to do. I've got a huge pork joint that OH got discounted, so I'm going to freeze half and cook the other half, so tonight will be pork and stuffing rolls.
Sending hugs to Suffolksue, nice to hear from you but sorry you're in so much pain.
Have a good day all, take care.

morning everyone good news for your DH scarlet I’m sure your little one will have a good time at Butlins dp1 Camelot it’s made me chuckle I can’t see her with them goggles on swimming about in the paddling pool a good way to keep cool . Enjoy the show TA. I’m going to pop out for some veg I got all my washing dry yesterday I am going to wash the kitchen floor before I do anything else . The freezer beat me yesterday I decided last night when I came in to empty it scrape any frost and ice off it give it a clean and stick everything back in it’s only a small chest freezer that I have in the garage but I like it empty and turned off ready to fill up for Xmas there’s only two of us but I can’t find an inch of space in my fridge freezer in the kitchen to many yellow sticker bargains well I suppose we will never starve . I’m doing an hour at lunch time at the charity shop today there’s only the manager in the two girls who work Saturdays are on holiday so I said I would go and let her get some lunch I will probably be there a bit longer I will be busy talking not like me 😂. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing

Morning all - the sun has made it through the early clouds though it's brought a brisk wind with it. That spurned me to changing the bedding so the machine is whirring away. As the weather is due to change it may be the last fine drying day, hope not.
Yesterday I took away the rubbish and recycling and strongly resisted the urge to buy a bun and coffee, my willpower is slipping away so need to bring myself back under control.
The other week I booked a gait analysis session at the same clinic which is doing my pre-op on Monday. At the time there wasn't any space on the same day so I arranged an appointment for Tuesday and to stay with Alan. Behold…physiotherapy phoned yesterday to offer me a cancellation on Monday. After a bit of juggling around it's all sorted so I'm really pleased.
Great news @ScarletRibbons and fingers crossed that the licence arrives soon.
No car for a week @camelot1001? You're a good mum.
@TravellingAbuela - an old biddy you may be but certainly not old-fashioned, it's what you grew up with and still enjoy. There's some music that this old biddy can't bear (mostly musicals and jazz) so it's personal choice. I hope that you have a good time tonight.
Happy Birthday to your DS @Chrisca - cake and fizz?
Your little one will love Butlins @dp1 - we're all looking forward to some funny tales.
@Suffolksue - your news is not so good, please explore all options (apart from the Swiss one!) to help and don't be afraid to push the medics if needed.
I forget who mentioned having seen 'I, Jack Wright' before - seems it was first shown on satellite TV which I don't subscribe to. Now waiting for series two to appear as the cliffhanger was interesting! Ludwig is back soon to fill the gap.
Take care all, especially our poorlies. Still looking out for our much missed missing. xx

Morning all
Bright and sunny here and going to get up to 24 today which is much more bearable, I have a towel wash in the machine so will hang that out shortly.
We have a new boiler 😀 which seems much more efficient the hot water is coming through a lot quicker and he had to put the heating on to test it was all working and they got lovely and hot very quickly, it will be interesting to see how much better it will be in the winter, he did say that our radiators will all need replacing in the next few years I said they will have to wait a while, also I didn’t know that radiators have a shelf life!
DD and friends are off out to brunch today and she is staying over at her friends so just OH and I here for dinner which will be a bbq, I have a breast of lamb which I will mostly cook in the sc and then crisp it up on the bbq, we also have green beans and Cornish new potatoes which we cook on the bbq as well, I will see if mum wants a dinner too.
It’s a lovely story about the village pond isn’t it ? The fish were all relocated but the ducks moved themselves - hopefully they will be back once it’s full again.
SS I’m sorry you are in so much pain xx
Scarlet I hope the licence comes back quickly xx
Have good days all and take care x

Morning all, it's very grey here and 16 deg atm, meant to rise a bit later though. Thanks Scarlet glad DH got his licence back. We are a vehicle down as DS2 has taken the camper, the work van got towed to the garage yesterday, no word on the problem yet.
We had planned a bbq too @RedRuby1231 , I took the kebabs, sausages out of the freezer last night, it might just be a cook outside/eat in evening.
It was lovely to pick up DGS yesterday on his last day of the school year. Not done it for weeks with DS2 working up that way, or he is now trusted to walk to his DMs as they moved a lot nearer to school, they go away next week for 10 days.
Happy baking @remmie sounds good.
I spent most of the afternoon planting some tubs at the back, bought a few reduced plants from the sm that needed reviving/ rescuing- some of the pots there were obviously beyond help, didn't look like they'd been watered for ages! Hopefully the ones we got will be ok.
Right better get out for a dog walk- take care all.

Morning all, thanks for the start @Scarlet. Good news your DH has been given the go-ahead to get his licence back - just the DVLA to contend with now!
According to the Met Office website, we're not going to see any sun today until mid-afternoon and there's a definite dip in temperatures, down to around 19 or 20 deg, but it should be dry with a gentle breeze.
Yesterday's fridge/freezer tidy up was helpful and yes, there's plenty in there for this week's meals with the minimum of shopping. I'm defrosting some Cornish pasties for tonight's dinner, a change from recent salads and other hot weather meals. DS is going to the barber's for a hair cut and beard trim so while he's out I'll change his bedding, get it washed and hung out. @Izzy - my kitchen floor could do with a sweep and mop too.
@Chrisca - Happy birthday to your DS. Enjoy your meal out.
@Rosy - And a belated Happy Birthday to yours - I must have missed that. Good luck with the rescue plants, hopefully your TLC will do the trick.
@TA - Enjoy the show - and the music 😁.
@Gers - How fortunate you were able to juggle your arrangements to take advantage of the cancellation. I hope it proves useful.
Enjoy the weekend whatever you have planned - or not, as the case may be. ((Hugs)) for our poorly ones and waves to our missing. Take care. xx
Be kind to others and to yourself too.8
