Under 18's travel insurance when adult already covered

Hi all

I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

I'm travelling to Spain with my three children (aged 17, 14 and 12) next week. I already have my own travel insurance in place, but it's a specialist policy due to my health conditions.

I'm having real difficulty finding travel insurance for the children only. The only quote I've managed to get so far is to add them to my existing annual policy, which is quite expensive.

Ideally, I'm looking for either:

• A single-trip policy for the children for next week's holiday, or
• An annual policy for them, as I'll also be taking them away again in October.

Has anyone been in a similar situation or can recommend insurers that offer cover for children without the parent needing to be on the same policy?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Most insurers will allow you to insure only children but an adult will have to be the policyholder, you just have to override the default that the policyholder is traveller 1
