Has anyone tried to type in the code for a coupon at a self serve till ? I have typed in the barcode of purchases before, but wondered if it also works on coupons. Reason I ask is that the Daily Mail book token just won't scan ! I'm too scared to type the code in and set off an alarm or something !
Made a mistake tonight and put in more coupons than the cost of my shopping. It alerted the cashier, but she just authorised it without making any checks so I got totally free shopping plus 49p for my trouble !
So the cashier okeyed it and gave you 49p. Wonder what time she was due back at the home!0 -
Bless her, when I put one too many coupons in, it came up with an alert for the cashier. It said on the screen something like "negative balance of 49p, accept?" and she had clearly never seen that before, so hit accept and typed in her pin. She then watched gob smacked as 49p came out of the change bit ! Her mouth was literally hanging open !
I just said thanks, took it and left quickly !0
