Vaillant Ecotech65 Efficiency
I have a Ecotech65 in my Church Hall installed 2010. My local council is offering resilient grants which would enable me to replace it.
Does anyone know of a data source so I can compare efficiencies and assess carbon saving (consumption 59,000 kWh ?

Replacing a gas boiler with a gas boiler isn't likely to achieve a significant saving in emissions. Have you considered replacing it with a heat pump?

You can look up boiler efficiencies here →
A 2010 boiler will be condensing, as would a like-for-like replacement. Any saving would come from smarter controls that could leverage the abilities of a modern boiler to modulate the output and do weather compensation. Even so, I would expect overall savings to be around 5% at the most. Fitting a smarter control system that can vary the temperature depending on the time of day, and even presence detection (would stop people leaving the heating on) would potentially deliver a higher saving at a lower cost. A tamper resistant thermostat would also be prudent.
If you are insistent on replacing a gas boiler,a heat pump would be the obvious choice if you want to cut carbon emissions.

Thank you both for your comments.
My Church Hall is a former church - you are talking thick stone walls , stained glass windows, solid floors and high ceilings and I am not convinced that Heat Pumps are at all suitable.
We update our controls a couple of years to Smart (Salus) and cut our consumption by 10%

Ideal for a heat pump. Lots of thermal mass. The heat loss of the building remains the same whether you use gas or a heat pump. You seem to have swallowed all the myths about heat pumps, rather than learning the facts.
I have Welsh lessons in a converted chapel heated by an ASHP. Always nice and warm.
Can you fit solar panels? They could defray a large proportion of your heating costs.

The National Trust has installed heat pumps in a couple of their properties. Much bigger than a church, and probably draughty too. Even so, they reckon running costs are much lower than oil/gas.
