Morning again, it's a grey start this morning, bit chilly as well.
Hope you're feeling a bit better Loobidoo.
You've been busy Camelot.
Hope you've seen someone about your cystitis Ruby.
I wasn't out yesterday, just did housework, but must go out today, there's a prescription to pick up.
Not much on today, just the usual jobs.
We'll go to the quiz tonight of course, it's nice to meet up with friends.
Hope everyone has a good day, take care folks.

Morning all
Cloudy out there this morning but due to be sunny for the rest of the day later, wind is still with us though!
Off out to meet up with a couple of ex-colleagues this morning for a coffee so that should be good. Need to move a few things around as double glazing chap coming tomorrow to finish the job downstairs with new front window and front door. We had to take the blind down last week before we knew there would be a delay and as the sun shines through there early evening DH put an old sheet up so we could see the tv to watch Wimbledon etc so it looks like we live in a squat at the moment 🤣
Hope everyone has a good day x

Good morning
A cloudy and breezy start, yesterday was the same, but it made it more pleasant to go out. We went to a place about half an hour's drive away with a lake to walk around. Took big dog with us, but of course he wouldn't get his feet wet paddling! We did try to go to a dog friendly pub for lunch, but dogs weren't allowed inside and all the tables outside were taken. So we came back via Aldee and got lamb shanks and a bottle of wine. We know how to celebrate.
So, today is back to the usual chores, laundry as per usual is waiting. DH is sorting out some wiring that apparently needs "tidying up ".
Have a good day all, take care.

Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet, enjoy the quiz.
Light cloud this morning but due to get warmer again later, will do a wash load once I've been in the shower.
I went to the allotment yesterday for potatoes, beetroot and peas to take to friends which were well received, had a lovely lunch and chat, always good to catch up.
I did get a Drs appointment yesterday, can't remember what it's called but it's a reaction to sunlight that could be caused by anything or nothing! Got some cream and stayed covered up whilst out yesterday and bought some more sunscreen. Also showed the Dr a warty thing on my back that also turned out to be nothing to worry about so all's good.
Glad you had a good day yesterday Remmie, happy anniversary.
Hope you have a speedy recovery loobidoo.
I'm going to sand and paint a small chest of drawers today, it's got very marked on the top with various lotions and potions, just need to get some new handles, will go out for a look in a bit.
Happy Tuesday! Take care. XX

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. We must be the exception this morning as we already have sun and it's feeling warm already. Temps slowly back on the climb. After yesterday's 23 deg it promises to be 25 deg today.
I am now down to just the tall freezer so that's put paid to excessive stockpiling and panic buying! The smaller freezer has now gone to a new home! DD and her DP collected it yesterday.
I attempted a bit of garden sorting out yesterday but the sun beat me and I downed tools. I shall attempt a bit more today.
Long call with bus buddy yesterday. She is almost at rock bottom with the results taking so long amongst lots of other problems. Things are not going too well with DF either, her DH is far from well and attempts to get an actual appointment with his doc are fruitless. When did it get this bad to actually see a doctor face to face.
Have a good day folks if you can. Glad you eventually had a good celebration meal yesterday REMMIE. Take care all, be safe xx

Morning all - thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons, good luck in the quiz. It's another lovely morning - two in a row - though not hot yet.
My drive down to Glasgow was so good yesterday. Not another car ahead of me for over 60 miles so I could dawdle and enjoy the various lochs as I passed. The crown prep went fine, just the gunge for the bottom mould was horrid, the actual upper tooth only had a lump of putty on it for a couple of minutes. Now I've got a temporary crown until the next appointment in early August.
I whizzed round a large M&S and bought too much, inevitably. Mind you, a lot of it is fruit. Cherries, peaches, blackberries, blueberries, strawberries and raspberries are all in the fridge ready for a feast. The drive home was more busy though, happily, not many slow drivers ahead. Again, such a glorious journey.
This morning I've been busy doing financial stuff - two banks have offered an 8% regular saver each so much faffing has been done. Happy now. Coffee made and drunk. The only plans I have for today it to take away the black bag of rubbish. After a few busy days I need a lazy one.
Hope that all are well. I hope that @snoozer is enjoying being with her new granddaughter. Hugs all round.

Morning all
It’s already warm here this morning and set to get up to the 30’s again 🥵 it is much better than in the 40’s so I wont complain - much 😬
I have two people coming today and they want to have a walk around the shops and a picnic lunch so that is what we will do, we may stop and get an ice cream somewhere for a treat.
I have a gammon joint in the sc so will make a carbonara for tonight and do it with egg and chips tomorrow.
I am waiting for a call back from the GP which will hopefully be today the over the counter stuff is just not touching it.
Try and stay cool in the heat x
Have good days all and take care xx

Hi everyone,
Thanks for the kick off @ScarletRibbons and thanks for the well wishes.
Oh @Gers what a lovely drive and bonus you got all the juicy goods
@Chrisca50 that is commitment to the tennis cause - nice one. Hope you get sorted soon 😊
I've got a long road ahead of recovery and it's so strange having my movement restricted but I guess I'll embrace it while I'm getting the time to rest - lots of tv, reading, directing OH around the house🤣
I can't face the living room/spilt milk situ. Contemplating lighting an incense stick and denying all knowledge. Be replacing the living room carpet at this point!
If OH comes home at lunchtime I'll ask him to get the flour down so I can make bread in the BM.

Morning all, thanks @Scarlet for today's start.
It's another day of sunny intervals, no rain and a gentle north-easterly breeze, just right temperatures (for me) of 24/25 deg - pretty much the same as yesterday. If you believe the folklore, a rainy St Swithins Day tomorrow could bring a change but I doubt it. 😁
I have the usual household chores to do today but first I want to clean the outside of the living room windows while they're still in the shade. Dinner tonight is as yet undecided. I'm fast running out of ideas for hot weather meals that don't involve salad (again) or too much cooking and all the h/m frozen ready made meals have been used up! I'm thinking a frittata with spicy wedges might fit the bill.
@camelot - Pleased you managed to get a Dr's appointment - I expect they're dealing with a lot of people suffering in one way or another from the heat.
@Ruby - Boo to the cystitis, I hope you can get some relief quickly.
@loobidoo - Get well soon after your op. I wouldn't worry about the housework for now. As for the spilt chocolate milk on the carpet, maybe try spraying on a solution of bicarb and warm water, leave for a while and blot dry. Alternatively, a pet stain remover might do the trick.
@TA - I'm so sorry your bus buddy and DF are struggling with their own or others' health matters. GP appointments seem to be as rare as hen's teeth. And don't get me started on the pushes to get everyone to do things online, it drives me crazy. 😕
@Gers - Enjoy your lazy day. 😃
A wave to our MIA, I hope they're just too busy to post or perhaps on holiday. Have a lovely day everyone, take care. xx
Be kind to others and to yourself too.11
