    Thanks @Boohoo, the downpipe does discharge onto the pebbles, but there is a gully drain under it, the pebbles are being held by a membrane on top of the drain, so it would filter through eventually. Its not ideal because during a heavy shower water does gush out this pipe but I'd hope most of it would flow into the aco drain which sits directly above the gully. I'm not too concerned because the DPC on that side of the house is much higher.
