Debt recovery for private parking notice

Hi all forum users.

My wife has recieved a debt recovery letter for a private parking notice which we failed to appeal within time. The letter is addressed to my wife as the registered keeper and the next action is court with no option to appeal. Is there any way of getting them to take this action against me as the driver rather than my wife? Do i just inform the debt recovery company that i was the driver and action should be taken against me? Not sure how this works.

The RK names the driver to the private parking company, giving them the name and address and citing transfer of liability under POFA 2012

Personally i would not do this until the end of a letter before claim (day 30ish) and directly to the parking firm

its something i have never failed to win court cases over

so do i just respond to the debt recovery firm or to the actual parking company under POFA 2012? As it is now in the hands of the debt firm i assume the parking company have no involvement.

Aren't you going to tell us which PPC? ChirpyChicken did ask, for good reason.

He also advised you exactly who to contact and exactly when.

You wife has no proven debt, and the low life debt company tell lies to get you sucked in to their scam, they are not any threat treat them with contempt.

The posters above know exactly what they are talking about, but you need to give any information asked, also if you don't understand familiarise yourself with the relevant information at the top of this forum where the whole sorry unregulated scams are outlined.

thanks for the responses. The PPC is Spring Parking Ltd. Not one i have come across before.

Just to confirm ChirpyChicken the letter before claim will come from the PPC and this is the letter before county court action? Thanks in advance.

More likely to come from a legal company like Moorside Legal or DCB LEGAL or Gladstones etc ( not from debt collectors or from Spring Parking. )

Plus any future Money Claim will come from the CNBC in Northampton using MCOL, initiated by the lawyers on behalf of their client
