Urgent Help Needed Regarding My Daughter's Range Rover Evoque

What is happening when people complain to the finance company is that the finance then asks the dealer if there is an issue with the car. The dealer will simply say no, it has a fault that needs fixing.
Further to what others have said. Replacing an airbag and software is not going to cause an issue with the drive shaft. Take the car to an independent garage and get if fixed.

What do you think will happen when the OP tells trading standards that a Main Dealer advised that the car was OK to drive many hundreds of miles without inspecting the car but the Main Dealer denies this?

I think it's outside the remit of Trading Standards

Exactly - as above, their role isn't to adjudicate on disputes between traders and customers! If there is hard evidence (from multiple sources) of repeated malpractice by a business then they may take steps to ensure that such things don't happen in future, but that doesn't help OP, or others in similar situations, in any way…

Trading standards won't get involved. They are useless and the dealers know it.

You can no longer approach TS directly. You have to go via CAB who will pass the details on to TS, who may act if they get several complaints about a particular trader
If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0 -
The crucial facts missing are the car’s age, mileage, purchase date, finance type, warranty status and whether this dealer supplied it. OP needs the diagnosis and estimate in writing, then ideally an independent engineer’s opinion on whether the bracket was disturbed during the recall work or simply failed through wear.
The recall and the mechanical failure may be unrelated, so you need evidence rather than relying only on timing.
Ask for the complete job sheet, diagnostic report, photographs, fault codes and written estimate. Arrange recovery to an independent garage or engineer, stating clearly that removing the car does not withdraw your complaint.
Dispute the £25 daily charge in writing and ask where it was agreed, but do not leave the car accumulating charges unnecessarily. Continue the formal complaint to the finance company. It has up to eight weeks to issue its final response, after which the matter can usually be referred to the Financial Ombudsman.

Its half way down the first page…
car has done 40,000 mile, serviced every year without fail, mot was March, passed with no advisories. Car was bought new. Its the fact that there were no issues at all before it was recalled and now it has a problem. Its also the fact they told her to continue driving the car which has caused the loose bracket to get worse and caused extra damage
