UKPC NTK - double red lines parking - driver was parked there
Hi,
I have the newbies template.
Without giving the full NTK info, the driver did park for 10 minutes on the double red lines as he was waiting for a space with the mechanic on the other side.
Do I just follow the template and refuse any driver details?
Do I need to state or provide any proof that the driver visited the mechanic? If so I can get a receipt.
I know its a bit vague but the driver was in the situation and did not see the sign, someone was in the vehicle the whole time but I don't think that is a defence.
Thanks

Just ignore them as no appeal will work, unless there was a lack of 'no stopping' repeater signs on approach and you can get photo evidence.
I'd take no action.
Ignore them and let it play out to a DCB Legal claim form which (once easily defended using our template) they'll drop.
It's dead easy. They always discontinue defended claims. Sit on your hands (unless you move house, obviously).

Thanks, I will go to the site and take some pics as I only saw a single sign but someone else took a picture.

I wouldn't waste your time

Lines are generally meaningless on private land and no more than a key in reference to a potential contract. But if you're waiting for a space you I wouldn't be classified as parked.
Ignore UKPC though as they all go through the DCB Legal > court claim > discontinue route.

Hi,
I sent the appeal and got this back asking for the driver information to "assist" with the appeal.
I won't be sending anything.

You should know what to do - nothing. Wait for their rejection.
Always remember to abide by Space Corps Directive 39436175880932/B:
'All nations attending the conference are only allocated one parking space.'

Just received this from UKPC after I ignored the previous request to follow up the appeal with the driver details.
I have been given a POPLA reference number.
I will follow the POPLA section from the newbies thread:
