Morning all, thanks for the start off @Gers.
Today's forecast is for sunny intervals, wind speeds gentle to light, no rain and 'feels like' highs of just under 20 deg. It sounds like an ideal day to fit in a spot of weeding although it does feel as if the weeds are winning! 😁
I'm not a footie fan and didn't stay up to watch the match but I'm pleased England won their game and are through to the next round. I suspect there will be a lot of sleep deprived fans this morning.
I have a grocery delivery coming later this morning and all seems to be P&C. There's a mixture of fresh and frozen along with replacement items for stores that's used up almost half of this month's food budget so I'll be occupied with putting it away, updating inventories etc until lunchtime. Tonight's evening meal is a salad so the only cooking I need to do is make up a bowl of bulgar wheat. June's energy bill dropped into my Inbox this morning and I'm pleased to see energy usage has gone down, as to be expected for this time of year, but daily standing charges and VAT rankle (as always). Before I get around to weeding this afternoon I need to deal with the toilet bowl that's draining very slowly - I don't want it to become completely blocked as we have just the one toilet! 🙄
@Scarlet - Well done to your son on finishing the race, I hope he gets a well deserved rest today.
Have a good start to the new week whatever is on your agenda and take care. xx

Morning All
Well done to your DS Scarlet, what an achievement!
I've been for a swim, cleaned both bathrooms and picked peas and mange tout from the allotment. I've put some blue food down for the slugs and snails up there, there are hundreds of them! The beetroot I picked last week is delicious but there does seem to be quite a lot of it so I think some light pickling may be in order.
Good optician service Mehefin.
Sunday lunch sounds like the best option dp1.
A friend and I are going for afternoon tea in Glasgow this afternoon, using a voucher I was given at the end of term. Not my favourite thing to do but there's a G & T involved so we'll go on the train and enjoy some (hopefully) tasty food.
Take care. XX
