thanks for starting off today’s thread @Gers
It already feels warm - will need to walk Bdog soon. Struggling to get moving after two sessions of hedge cutting - very achey today.
Today’s jobs were either a trip to the county hospital with DM or a huge shopping haul - I think I got volunteered for the latter! Hopefully then a quiet afternoon of craft stuff.
Hope everyone enjoys the week - keep cool and hydrated if you’re in the hot zone!AA

Morning, thanks Gers.
It seems to be quite nice outside. Yesterday was grey and gloomy for most of the day.
Well, my son finished the race in 30 hours, he slowed right up towards the end. I think that running into strong wind on Saturday must have been exhausting. However, he's done it!
Hairdo time this morning, don't know what delights are in store after that.
Have a good day all, take care.

It's still pouring down here, has been since Saturday. The river towards the village has broken its banks again. Not really July weather.
Because of the dire conditions nothing too exciting happened. I went up to the village 10 miles away for a chair massage. Seems to be a new service, three very kindly women. The best part was when the masseuse reached my neck and shoulder, all very tight. For next week I've booked a lying down longer session.
This morning I've rounded up 'rogue' recycling to add to the bag in the car. I intend going to the local library to renew my membership which I've never used. With it I can access BorrowBox and WordPress, let's see if it saves me money. And there's the usual Monday dive into spreadsheets to get done.
Lunch will be eggs on pumpernickel bread with fruit to follow. Yes, fridge is almost empty so shopping is needed but I'm not doing it until tomorrow at the earliest.
I hope that most others have better weather and can get out to enjoy it. Hugs to our poorlies and our missing.
Edited to say a huge 'well done' to Scarlet's DS. What a feat!

Morning all
Going to be a hot one here with really strong winds yet again. Sorry to hear about your horrible weather @Gers It's either one thing or another!
Well that was a nice surprise when I checked the England score this morning. I've watched the highlights on you tube and am so disappointed to have missed such a wonderful game, but, onwards and upwards.
Have watered the garden and hung some washing out and am going to a local outlet centre who have a shoe shop that isn't a usual high street chain but have got shoes online before and want to see what they have. A couple of years ago bunions started to appear so each summer now I have sandals that I can't wear any more because of them so, hopefully, I'll find some replacements in their sale.
Have a good day all x

morning everyone scarlet well done to your son wow that’s some achievement 30 hours you must be another one like me dropped the baby on its head that’s the only thing I can think of 😂 it’s mild and dry heard it’s supposed to get hotter as the week goes on I’m off out for a good walk then I’m meeting my friend for a coffee later she is having a lie in as she got up to watch the football so did my hubby but I’m not a sports fan it drives me mad . Gers I’ve only ever had a massage once and it was lovely my friends daughter started doing them but I wasn’t impressed it was nothing like the one I had with the sports massage. I’ve got a pork joint out it was cooked yesterday in the slow cooker I will decide what we are having with it later . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing

Good morning
Bright and sunny here, with temperatures set to rise. DH is still in bed as he stayed up to watch the football, I didn't but he disturbed me when he came to bed, so I've been awake since then.
Nothing planned, will see what the day brings. Maybe pork chops for tea, unless I can get away without cooking, then something with salad.
Have a good day all, take care.

Morning all from a dull Mehefinland
Just popping in to say hello. Been a tad busy this last week and not really had time to post.
Must shout out praise for the in shop optician at Mand S. Gwen went on Friday and had a small issue with one eye so was asked to go back Sunday to dilate the eye. Optician has found a small retinal tear which she thinks is historic but has referred her to a specialist - she will ring today with the contact and is striving to find one local to us. Can not begin to say how impressed we were with the very thorough examination and aftercare.
Had a choir concert on Saturday: a full on day with rehearsal in the afternoon . We had a professional story teller as part of the theme of the concert, He was excellent and told a tale about Roald Dahl and how he is connected to Cardiff. A very enjoyable evening - followed by a visit to a pub to wash the dust down ( or something like that🤣).
More to follow but need to shoot off now…
Hugs and spoons as always
Mehefin aka Derek

Morning folks well done Scarlets DS.
ISleep overcame me last night so I avoided news and 'net when i got up and watched the game this morning. What a game it was. I couldn't feel more exhausted if I had been playing myself!
The site is very quiet again, not many vans occupied and as usual I'm all alone down here by the big field. A couple of little jobs to do and then a slothful day with my feet up reading.
Take care all be safe x

Morning everyone
I had little one for a sleepover on Friday night, we both enjoyed the movie on Saturday, our little cinema was almost full. She spent ages making 9 thank you cards for her teachers and teaching assistants at school and made a lovely job of them, she loves anything arty. Also went to the library where she joined this years reading challenge.
I had planned on doing some housework yesterday morning but DD asked if I wanted to go out for Sunday lunch with them, so I did…a very easy choice! When we got back she dropped me off at the care home, mam and dad were both fine…I've started just agreeing with most of what mam says which is making life easier!
Scarlet - little one and I saw loads of runners for the Rat Race on Saturday, one of their refreshment stops was right next to where we get off the bus in Berwick. We googled it when we were having our lunch, she was fascinated especially when we then went past Bamburgh Castle yesterday.
Right must get my lunch made and a quick clean around before I go to work. I hope everyone has a good day x
