House/Contents Insurance Quote - only pay by Direct Debit

Just running the annual comparison site exercise for house & contents. Cheapest contender is MBNA, worked through the quote checking the details and was ready to buy but pulled up by only being able to pay 1-off annual premium by 2 DDs (main and household emergency call-out), no debit/credit card option.

Is this a common feature or a quirk of MBNA? Not too bothered but it will cost me north of a tenner in lost cashback.

It's just MBNA as far as my experience goes. I found out the same last year on using them for the first time. I was amazed to not be able to use a credit card, I even rang them to confirm that it wasn't me misreading their site. Im just about to renew for another year. Their very competitive rates make it worth the minor inconvenience for me. Never come across this before in over 30 years doing business online.
