eToro
I used the link to sign up, didn’t get the free shares offer,
proceeded to the £200 deposit. Heard nothing from them. Another duff
inaccurate article along with HSBC article. I presume I will get a
£200 refund from eToro.
Martin, the articles
need to be more concise.Having said that I
have used your switching articles many times!

What went wrong? I signed up using the link; failed to get the free share; contacted them using online chat and they have now given me USD130 with which to buy my own share.
The article was accurate and I found it to be very helpful.0 -
My wife and I both did this offer and we had no problem redeeming the offer and getting the free £100 (now £50) - so disagree with calling it duff or inaccurate. Ironically, it was one of the smoothest tracked offers we've ever done (as the offer was mentioned throughout the sign up process, and you had to pick your free shares - so there was no uncertainty like other offers of whether it had tracked).
Did you use the actual offer link? Eg.
Or did you just sign up to eToro and deposit £200?
I don't understand your comment about "I presume I will get a £200 refund from eToro". It's a self-managed investment account, just withdraw the money if you're unhappy.

I signed up using the link and got the shares no problem…
